An attempt at combining, philosophy, mythology and aesthetics. The series is a result of efforts put through two years, where I illustrated my own interpretation of the hindu text ‘The Gita’, a verse a day. The same black ink drawings have been framed to create montage, where both the sides of the glass frame adorn artworks. You will find in these artworks what you seek. The tangible tree, and the intangible air. The light you see, and the warmth that you can only feel. Woven in a style deeply inspired by the Indian folk art, you will see the dot become the moon and the dot become the Universe. It’ll also become life and the Creator of all that transpires. The Gita was heard by Sanjay so that he could transmit it to everyone but spoken to Arjun so that we could understand it better. May you find in what I heard, and what I understood a Gita of your own.
