As a part of my final graduation project at NIFT, Delhi I took up the task of creating an educational art kit for art teachers. The kit introduces folk art in the mainstream art curriculum of middle school classes. Folk Lok, introduces our young innocent minds to learn, create and celebrate our century old Folk forms. Not only does it allow children to become masters in understanding the language of these forms, but also encourages them to find a language of their own. A rule-free language they were given the freedom to express they their brilliant ideas with the help of their own hands, and of course a handful of colours. Folk Lok, by employing art as a medium, aims at introducing this way of living, to the change makers of tomorrow. The following artwork was created as a part of the final submission of the project, the purpose of which was to clearly communicate the title and objectives of the graduation project.
