While studying at NIFT, I took up the role of an art teacher at Mirambika for my final thesis project. I was to teach children about folk art. This art work was created as a part of the documentation for the project. It highlights my preparation to become a teacher of folk art. Illustrated in a style that borrows inspiration from the Kalighat school of art, it has been made using ink pens. To teach students, this was also an exercise to learn to incorporate features from the folk form and yet create something original and relevant.
